Margie L. Gossett

Margie L. Gossett, 76 of Jonesboro died Sunday at NEA Medical Center. She was a homemaker and had lived in Craighead County most of her life. She lived for 20 years in Marietta, GA. She was a member of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Alta Duke Williams, her husband, Sherman D. Gossett, her brothers, Ausburn Williams, Archie Williams, and Alva Williams, and a great grandson, Coty Rush.

Survivors include her sons, Rick Gossett, Terry Gossett, Ted Williams all of Jonesboro, Don Gossett of Douglasville, GA, and Tim Gossett of Niceville, Florida. She is also survived by her brothers, Nubyron Williams of Jonesboro, Arlie Williams of Knoxville, IA and her sister Charlotte Yarbro of Brookland. Mrs. Gossett had five grandchildren, Gabe Gossett, Jimmy Gossett, Bethany Gossett, Jonathan Gossett, David Joe Williams and four great grandchildren, Ella Gossett, Griffin Gossett, Ashton Rose, and Elle-Anna Rose.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Greg Stull officiating. Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Williams, Mitchell Williams, Frank Hafner, James Williams, Scott Rush, Jimmy Gossett, and Jonathan Gossett. Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Gossett. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
