Margaret Joan Weaver

Margaret Joan Weaver, 81 of Alicia, passed from this life Monday, July 29, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 25, 1937 to Adrian and Iva Brown Vanbragt in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Margaret was a member of Grace Apostolic Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing solitare, sewing and reading. She is preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband, Jess Howell Burchfield.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Nathan of the home; sons James Burchfield, Jerry Burchfield (Kathy) of Alicia; daughters, Janet Holcolm of Imboden, Judy Vinson of St. Roberts, MO; brother Art Vanbragt both of Michigan; sister, Ida Shippa of Holland, Michigan; 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home from 2-3 pm. A graveside service will be at 4 pm at Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia, with Rev. Marvin Marshall officiating.

Pallbearers will be Gary Armstrong, Kevin Verke, Tyler Burchfield, Stacy Davidson, Jimmy Simmons, Timmy Wilson.
