Margaret Ann Scholl

Margaret Ann Scholl, 88, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born December 17, 1935 in Walnut Ridge to the late Chester and Stella Pearl Haney.

Margaret was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro and was of the Pentecostal belief. She enjoyed being out in the yard doing work and gardening. She was also a great cook and was best known for her biscuits. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by a brother, James Haney; a sister, Mildred Wise; a granddaughter, Angela Kelley as well as a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Scholl of Jonesboro; daughters, Barbara Milliser of Jonesboro and Becky (Doug) Taggart of Jonesboro; brother, Danny (Margaret) Haney of Jonesboro; sister, Martha Cox of Annieville; grandchildren, Daniel Cole, Jeffery Garner, Billy Noble, Robin Tong, Jeremy Taggart and Doug Taggart as well as 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Paul Davis and Daniel Tong officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Jeremy Taggart, Doug Taggart, Jeffery Garner, Haydyn Tong, Logan Cole and Tyler Cole. Honorary Pallbearers include Daniel Cole, Billy Noble and Daniel Tong.
