Margaret Jean Preston

Margaret Jean Preston, 70, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, October 11, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Tina Webb on December 9, 1948. Margaret was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She was devoted to sharing the word of Jehovah and supporting her spiritual brothers and sisters. In her free time, Margaret enjoyed nurturing her plants and gardens. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Preston; mother, Tina Webb; daughter, Toni Gates; and grandson, Brian Hopkins.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Danny Preston of Osceola, Arkansas and Gerald Preston of Pennsylvania; daughters, Kimberly Hopkins of Illinois, Tina Preston of Jonesboro, and Joey Bailey (Scott) of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Tanisha Hopkins, David Hopkins, Asia Hopkins, Ayanna Hopkins, Lataha Gates, Lakeisha Preston, Lashanda Preston Dominique Bailey, and Omarion Preston. Margaret also leaves behind eight great grandchildren and her uncle, Ruben Webb, who played a significant role in her life.

A memorial service will be held at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 5816 Summer Place, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72404.
