Margaret Imogene “Jean” Looney, 86 of Bay, passed peacefully from this life in her sleep, as she was surrounded by her family. She had lived in Bay for over 40 years. She was of the Baptist belief. She and her husband Johnny Looney were married for over 41 years. For her vocation, she worked at Trumann Upholstery for about 32 years. Her fellow employees were her extended family. She took in anyone who needed a place to stay and put food in their stomachs and loved their souls. Jean, truly loved all.
Survivors include sons, Phillip (Tina) Nickerson; Kenneth (Cathy) Nickerson; Virgil Nickerson; David Nickerson; and Randy Looney; daughters, Karen Boatman; Kathy (Kenny) Boatman; Jewell (Bob) Clark; Regina Bowman; brothers, Eugene Saylor, and Sam Saylor; sisters, Lorine Boozer; Ruby Skipper; Betty (Dean) Cline; 35 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, along with her son, John Allen Looney; daughter, Barbara Joyce Respalie and three siblings.
Graveside services will be 2:30 Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Pine Log Cemetery with Mark Rutherford officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
