Margaret Farnsworth, 77, of Bay, died Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was a lifetime resident of Northeast Arkansas having been born in Jonesboro, on May 25, 1947, to Bill and Virginia Collins. She was a member of the Woods Chapel General Baptist Church. Margaret was a First Aid Instructor for Delta Vo-Tech; Retired from St. Bernards Medical Center ICU department; owner/operator of Granny’s Country Kitchen; board member of Southridge Volunteer Fire Department; and organized the Southridge 4-H Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Farnsworth Carter.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lee Farnsworth of the home; son, Phillips (Sharon) of Bay; granddaughters, Cheyenne Farnsworth (Josh Paul); Terra Calloway (Kendrick) and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Hathcoat officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Bowman Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. An honorary pallbearer is John Burns. Visitation will be from 9:00 until service time.
