Margaret Mary Bednar Bornhoft

Margaret Mary Bednar Bornhoft, 89, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, December 26, 2016 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born October 11, 1927 in Slovak to the late Joseph Sr. and Mary Bednar. Margaret lived the majority of her life in Jonesboro after coming from Weiner. She attended grade school at St. Cyril &Methodius Catholic School in Slovak and graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Academy in Little Rock.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Wilbur E. Bornhoft; and two brothers: Joseph Bednar Jr. and Robert Bednar.

Margaret is survived by one brother: Raymond Bednar of Hazen; three sisters: Frances Rittman of North Little Rock, Georgia Mae (Charlie) Calliotte of Kansas City, MO, and Lucille Bennett of Beaumont, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at 6:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Jack Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Weiner Catholic Cemetery.
