Margaret Ann Richie, 69 of Bay, Arkansas died Saturday evening at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.
She was born in Bay and lived her lifetime there. She was a member of the Alsup Baptist Church and a bus driver for the Bay Public Schools for 22 years. She loved to sit and watch her hummingbirds and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Eathel Pemberton Champlin and one brother Melvin “Bud” Champlin.
Survived by her husband James Richie of the home.
Four daughters, Cathy Coke (Tony), Carolyn Emerline (Billy), Sharon Harper (Danny) and Jammie Williams (Billy) all of Bay.
One brother, John Champlin of Bay.
One sister, Mabel Buhrmester of Jonesboro.
Four grandchildren, Devin Harper, Elizabeth Emerline, Katie Williams and Brandy Jo Williams.
Graveside will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. William R. Whitlock officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1:30 P.M. Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Emerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ron Schneider, Mike Champlin, Marty Champlin, Zach Worley, Cody Worley and Gary Holmes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Foster, Gary Foster, Edward Richie, Joe Richie, Darrell Rains and Mark Lamberson.
