Marcella Ann Hale, 85, of Lake City passed from this life on Friday, July 24, 2026 at her home. She was born September 10, 1940 in Caraway to the late Buford and Mabel Adams.

Marcella has lived in Lake City for most of her life and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Lake City. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and traveling but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marcella is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles Hale; a brother, Dwight (Ike) Adams and a sister-in-law, Ginger Adams.

She is survived by one daughter, Annette (Bud) Mann of Lake City; a granddaughter, Kathy (Nick) Dumond of Jonesboro; a grandson, James (Jerra) Mann of Paragould; great-grandsons, Drake Faulkner, Dawson Faulkner, Gabriel Dumond, and Seth Mann; great-granddaughters, Allison Mann, Addleigh Dumond, Hadley Mann, Harper Mann, Adalynn Mann and Aubree Page as well as 2 nieces and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland following the visitation at 12:30 pm. Pallbearers include Drake Faulkner, Seth Mann, Dawson Faulkner, Gabriel Dumond, John McGee, Justin Griffin and Scott Wendell. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcella’s great-granddaughters.
