Manuel Castillo Resendiz

Manuel Castillo Resendiz, 76, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on July 5, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Manuel was born December 24, 1946 in Mexico City to the late Indalesio and Dolores Resendiz. In addition to his parents, Manuel is preceded in death by his son Jose Resendiz and granddaughter Maira Resendiz.

Manuel and his family moved to the Jonesboro area from Georgia around 10 years ago. He was a Christian man who attended the church Llamados por el Rey. Manuel was always happy. He loved to sing, watch old movies, shop at yard sales and flea markets, and eat Chinese food and Chick-Fil-A. Manuel was proud of his work. He loved working and staying busy. Manuel was also proud of his children. He had 10 kids and over 40 grand and great-grandchildren.

Manuel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Soledad Garcia; children, Patrica Resendiz, Javier Resendiz, Berta Resendiz, Veronica Resendiz, Jorge Resendiz, Sandra Resendiz, Carlos Resendiz, Marisol Resendiz, and Alejandro Resendiz; siblings, Toño Resendiz, Lurdes Resendiz, and Pilar Resendiz; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
