Mandy Lou Thompson

Mandy Lou Thompson, 82, of Jonesboro died January 1, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital.  She was born in Newark, Arkansas on December 9, 1942, to Theodore and Irene Woodruff, and lived in Newport until 1977, when she moved to Jonesboro. She retired from Southwestern Bell Corporation.  Mandy was an excellent cook and made many appetizing dishes.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Thompson; two brothers, Jim Woodruff and Andy Woodruff (her twin brother); and sister, Joanne Lowery.

Survivors include her daughters, Renee Brady and husband, Kevin; Robin Bregy and husband Bill all of Jonesboro; brother, Sammy Woodruff of North Carolina; sister, Judy Williamson of Cordova, Tennessee; and grandson, Harrison Bregy and wife Alex.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home.  All other services will be private.
