Mamie Marie Delbridge

September 5, 1925 — February 11, 2016

Mamie Marie Delbridge, 90, of Jonesboro passed away at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House with her family by her side.

Mamie was born on September 5, 1925 in Leachville to the late Roland B. and Lela Bell Creason Williams. She lived most of her life in the Popular Corner area between Leachville and Manila. She and her late husband Charles Russell Delbridge farmed in the Popular Corner area until his passing. In 1994 she moved to Jonesboro to be near her family, and she became a member of the Southwest Church of Christ. She was a sweet and loving mother and grandmother, and her work ethics and her love for her family will be missed but never forgotten.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Steve Delbridge; and six siblings, Reaves Andrew Williams, Minor Otto Williams, John Wesley Williams, Lightle (Bob) Ross Williams, Roland Lawrence (R.L.) Williams, and Eura Mable Honnoll.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Finley and her husband Jerry of Jonesboro and Donna Cornish of Little Rock; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Leland Williams of Jonesboro; four sisters, Vernilla Robena Williams of Brighton, MI, Hallie Odessa Dixon of Anchorage, AK, Lela Irene Jones of Durant, OK, and Betty Jane Odell of Pontiac, IL; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Monday, February 15, 2015 in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Adcox and Chris Harrell officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until service time at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Finley, Brian Evans, Erik Glazier, Greg Lilly, John Morris, and Dr. Bruce Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jeffery Cohen, Dr. Lee Woodruff, Dr. Ben Owens Jr, and Dr. Veryl Hodges.
