Mae Flynn-Brown, 88, of Jonesboro, died March 21, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi to George Washington & Carrie Moreland Baucum and had lived in Jonesboro since 1984. She was a very active member at Faith Tabernacle in Jonesboro. She had a great love for her church. She had many hobbies and interests such as quilting, sewing, gardening, and canning. She was known to take young people from the church camping. A great passion of hers was fishing. She fished as recently as last summer. She loved fishing so much that it has been said she would rather fish than eat.
She is survived by her sons, Jack C. & Kimberlee Flynn, Jerry W. & Susan Flynn, Danny L. & Larye Flynn, all of Jonesboro; 27 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Susan C. Flynn.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Henry Flynn and Thomas E. Brown; sons, James Edward Flynn, Bill Flynn, Ben Flynn; daughter, Johnnie Waldman; granddaughter, Lynn Flynn; grandson, Skip Granger; great grandson, David Bass; brothers, Jay Baucum and Pete Baucum; and sisters, Ruby Padua and Ruth Pittman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bradley Robinson officiating. Entombment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Saturday 12:30 until time of service at 2:30 p.m.
