Madison Wilfong

In the 3 o’clock hour in the early morning on January the 29 th , 2003, Madison DeShun Wilfong made his arrival at the Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, He transitioned from this life on Sunday night, August 14, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

At an early age, Madison accepted Christ Jesus and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Helena, Arkansas. Madison enjoyed playing video games, swimming, hanging out with his friends, working, and spending time with his daughter. He had a heart of gold. Madison was a graduate of the class of 2021 at Jonesboro High School. Until his death, he was employed with Peco Foods in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Madison was preceded in death by his great great great grandmother, Centennial Gladney; great great grandmothers, Ruby Lee Wilfong and Rosie Gentry; great great grandfather, JT Wilfong;  great aunt, Sabrina Wilfong; aunt, Shondra Miller; cousins, Tiffany and Trevon Wilfong.

He leaves to cherish his memories are his mother, Martina (Samuel) Wilfong; father, Arther Gentry Jr (Abril); daughter, Aryan Laylanil Wilfong; sisters, Penelope Gentry all of Jonesboro, Raven Boose of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brothers, Jakylon Hancock, Arthur Gentry II, and Xeailond Prince all of Jonebsoro; grandparents, Patricia (Michael) Fitzhugh of Jonesboro, Elizabeth Payno and Arthur Gentry Sr. (Deborah) of West Helena; aunts, Shonte Sims of Jonesboro, Carlecia Gentry (Eddie) and Marquita Trancy; uncles, Quentin Murry all of West Helena and Great Uncle Michael Wilfong of Richmond, Virginia; cousins, Leon Sims III of Jonesboro, Tia Parker of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Tylen and Angel Wilfong both of Phoenix, and Antoine Barksdale of Chicago and a host of cousins; special brothers, Charles King, Royce Lloyd, and Kevonte Gum all of Jonesboro; god mother, Jessica Starks of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; special aunt, Chiquita Dowden; special mother, Regina Dycus (Robert); special friend, Shanti Harris. And a host of friends, classmates, teachers, and coworkers.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Southwest Church of Christ.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with William Murphy and Isaiah Haywood officiating.
