Mack Foster, 83, of Rosie, Arkansas, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas after a long illness. Mack was born on April 6, 1942, in Oil Trough, Arkansas, the son of Brown and Josie (Pruitt) Foster.

Mack was a retired farmer and truck driver. He took great care of landscaping and creating a home that was a testimony of his love for the outdoors and the country life. Every day for him included walking and working around his place. Mack loved to fish and camp with his sons and grandsons. He loved westerns and good conversations about events and the past.

Mack was the loving father of 5 children: Tammy McMackin of Jonesboro, Pamela Kaplan (B. Jay) of Little Rock, Mac Foster of Weiner, Joey Foster of Rosie, and Michael Foster of Jonesboro. Mack was the proud grandfather of Night Foster, Seth Foster, and Kathleen McMackin.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Nola Cantrell, Earleen Freeman, Lenora Dawson, Shirley Hays, Montine Branscum, and Carolyn Teal; and son-in-law Daniel McMackin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family asks for donations in Mack’s memory be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
