Mack Defries

Mack Lamont Defries, 74, of Lake City passed from this life on Friday, January 6, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born to Rector and Pearl Defries on July 3, 1947 in Lake City. Mack retired from General Electric and then began working for the Housing Authority in Lake City. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his “hill house’ near Heber Springs on Brock Mountain. Mack is preceded in death by his parents, Rector and Pearl Defries.

Mack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Defries of the home; daughter, Lisa Smithee (Brady) of Jonesboro; brothers, Junior Defries (Sherry) of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, Lynn Defries (Renee) of Caraway, and Danny Defries (Aimee) of Mount Vernon, Arkansas; sisters, Joan Culbreath of Coldwater, Mississippi, Diann Chisenhall of Pensacola, Florida, and Sue Wallace (James) of Lake City; and grandson, Braden Smithee.
