Mable Brock, 98, of Jonesboro passed into her Heavenly Home on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to Tom and Elsie(Horner) Clark on April 10, 1918 in Hollywood, Missouri. Mable was a member of Nettleton Baptist church and will be remembered as a very strong, humorous woman who loved music and playing bingo. She was an excellent wife, mother, homemaker, and southern cook. Everybody loved her Date Nut Rolls and her Homemade Yeast Rolls. In addition to her parents, Mable is preceded in death by her husband, Herchel Brock; special brother, Randel; brothers, Archie, Herchel, and Jr; sisters, Maxine, Wanda, and Glenis; granddaughter, Stephanie Wood; and great grandson, Colin Wood.
Mable is survived by her daughters, Kay Wood and Diane Masterson (Wayne); grandchildren, Shauna, Samuel, Stephen, Greg, Brent, and Melissa. She also leaves behind 9 great grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on November 2, 2016 at Nettleton Baptist Church with Dr. Stan Ballard Officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.
The visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.
The family would like to offer a very special thanks to Dr. Ben Owens for his compassion, care, and going beyond the call of duty to help their mother. They would also like to thank CNC for the care that was given to their mother.
