M. L. Fisher

December 21, 1922 — November 25, 2005

M. L. Fisher, 82, of Jonesboro died Friday, November 25, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro for 62 years moving here from the Childress Community. He was co-author of two books, one detailing the railroads in the Jonesboro area and one describing downtown Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his wife, DruElla Audrey Fisher, Bill Dunn, a step-son, and an half-sister, Mary Ann Fisher.

Survivors include

Son Al Fisher, Trumann

Step-son Bobby Gene Dunn, Birmingham, AL

Step-daughter Shirley Jo Book, Fenton, Michigan

Sister Maxine Simpson, Nashville, TN

Grandchildren Tonya Fisher, Jonesboro Matthew Fisher, Jonesboro

13 Step-grandchildren

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2005,at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dwight Harrelson officiating and burial to follow at Herman Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Saturday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
