Lyndsey Nicole Taylor, 37, of Nashville, Tennessee, entered eternity on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home. She was born August 6, 1982 to Tim and Tammy (Kemp) Hawkins in Helena, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Bobby and Edith (Jeans) Hawkins and maternal grandparents Jerry and Lou (Smith) Kemp.
Lyndsey was a graduate of Valley View High School where she played basketball and was a Valedictorian of her class. She earned a basketball scholarship to Ouachita Baptist University, where she attended college for 4 years and graduated Sigma Cum Laude. From there she attended Loewenberg College of Nursing, an accelerated nursing program at University of Memphis and became a labor and delivery nurse at St. Bernard’s Hospital where she showed the love of Christ to those for whom she provided care. Lyndsey faithfully worshipped and served her Lord as a member of Journey Church in Jonesboro before moving to Nashville where she attended Cross Point Church. She was a servant of Christ and her purpose in life was to glorify Him. Through her suffering and ministry, she has provided encouragement and inspiration. Her relationship with God was a constant influence in her life and played a pivotal role in every aspect of her life. Lyndsey considered her family to be her whole life and loved her husband and children very much.
Lyndsey is survived by her husband, Adam Taylor, of the home; four children, Gibson James 12, Ava Lee 12, Ede Emery 11, and Jude Hawk 7; her parents Tim and Tammy Hawkins of Jonesboro; brother Jordan (Natalie) Hawkins of Jonesboro; in-laws Gordon and Teri Taylor of Jonesboro; brother in law Jacob (Joannah) Taylor of Cleveland, Mississippi; and two nieces and two nephews.
The visitation will be Saturday, August 8 th at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Church, 1701 Disciple Drive in Jonesboro. A public celebration of her life will begin at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation. For those unable to attend the celebration, the service will be streamed live and can be accessed at The Story of Us by Lyndsey Taylor Facebook page.
Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville. The pallbearers will be Adam Taylor, Gordon Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Gibson Taylor, Jordan Hawkins, and Ross Hawkins.
