Lucy Ann Winford

A glorious Heavenly union occurred on Saturday, July 8, 2023 as  Lucy Ann Winford joyfully stepped into eternity at the age of 91.  What a magnificent legacy of trusting the Lord she has left to all who knew her!  She was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro before moving into St. Bernard’s Villas Memory Care facility.  Beaming with a big, beautiful smile, Lucy gave the best hugs and would squeeze you in half the second she saw you.  She never parted ways without telling you “I love you with all my heart.”  Her response to nearly every question was, “Let me talk to the Good Lord.” She was known for her steadfast love of Jesus. Lucy could be found every morning doing her "daily Bible readings" and praying for her family one by one. Even in her recent years, while suffering through dementia, she leaned on her Savior.  There is great comfort in knowing she is joyfully with her Lord and Savior.

She was dearly loved by her surviving children Kenny and Belinda Winford of Jonesboro and Wayne and Jo Ann Neeley of Bono.  She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren who she lovingly referred to as her "kids," Lance Winford, Canaan Winford, Denny Newcomb, Chris Newcomb, Lea Ann Tacker, and Daron Newcomb.   Lucy was also survived by 13 adoring great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Family Fellowship Baptist Church in Jonesboro from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ron Langston officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Paragould.  Pallbearers will be Denny Newcomb, Chris Newcomb,  Lance Winford, Weston Newcomb, Kolton Newcomb, Luke Newcomb, Jason Tacker, Kaden Tacker, Kaleb Tacker, and Kason Tacker.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Daron Newcomb, Charles Gosa, Grant Newcomb, Karson Tacker, Wayne Neeley, and Mason Winford.
