Lucy Ann Nelson

October 30, 1936 — August 11, 2010

Lucy Ann Nelson, 73, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Ridgecrest Nursing Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Racine, Wisconsin, Lucy moved to Jonesboro in 1977. She retired from Quebecor World Printing as a Quality Control Analyst and was a member of Graphic Communications International Union. Lucy was a Lutheran and enjoyed reading Stephen King novels.

Lucy was a supporter of St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital and St. Mary’s Burn Center in Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents: Reinholt and Anna Schrader Jaskulsky, by a son, Marshall LeRoy Nelson, III, by a grandson, Jason Ziegenhagen, by a granddaughter, Samantha Nelson, and by 3 sisters: Marie Johnson, Doloris Johnson and Olive Winchester.

Survivors include 2 sons, Lawrence Keith Nelson of Jonesboro and Duke Lee Nelson of Zion, Illinois;

2 daughters: Victoria Ann Nelson of Jonesboro and Marcia Lynn Nelson of Wisconsin;

11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel for Lucy’s friends and family. Burial will be private.
