Lucille Gambill, 83, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Enid, Oklahoma, Mrs. Gambill lived much of her life in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gambill, and by her parents, George Earl Riley and Hazel Brant Riley.
Survivors include:
1 Daughter: Pat Swan of Bono, Arkansas;
4 Sons: Gary Davis of Newton, Kansas,
Larry Barton of Kentucky,
Don Barton of Rogers, Arkansas, and
Steve Pilcher of Alva, Florida;
2 Step Daughters: Norma Sharp of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and
Marva Slaven of Rector, Arkansas;
1 Brother: Charles Riley of Newton, Kansas;
16 Grandchildren, and
34 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2006, at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. William “Dub” Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland, Arkansas.
Active pallbearers include: Chuck Goodson, Shane Goodson, Jeff Taylor,
Kenny Swann, J.B. Taylor and J.W. Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers include: Donnie Barton, and Ronnie Barton.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-8 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
