Lucille Elizabeth Barton

Lucille Barton, 73, of Jonesboro, died Thursday at Skill Care Nursing Center. Born in Monette, she had lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She was retired from Frolic Footwear and was of the Baptist belief. Her first priority in life was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Barton, Jonesboro, Bobby Barton, Brookland; daughters, Teresa Mangrum, Jonesboro, Gail New, Jonesboro; step-son, Eddie Barton, Vicksburg, Mississippi; step-daughter, Patricia Barnes, Pine Bluff; brother, David Hotchkiss, Mountain Home; sisters, Faye White, High Point, North Carolina, Mary Joy Hartley, Monticello; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Bo” Barton; parents, George & Irma Lewis Hotchkiss; granddaughter, Ashley Mangrum; great grandchildren, Braden Painter and Kaylee New; brothers, George Wayne Hotchkiss, James Lee Hotchkiss, Ricky Hotchkiss, and Gene Hotchkiss.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Frankie Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Barton, Aaron Baron, Alex Barton, Richard Mangrum, Michael Barton, and Jeremy Mangrum.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Lee and Randy Crawford.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
