Lucille V. Ayers

Lucille V. Ayers 75, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2007 at her residence.

She was born in Swifton, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro for forty four years, moving here from Texas.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward “Possum” Ayers, her parents Roy and Hattie Willford Fitzwater, and one grandson Lee Ross.

Survived by her son and daughter: Jack Leroy Ayers and Mary Ross both of Jonesboro.

Two sisters: Ruth and Flo Alls both of Erie, Illinois.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 27, 2007 at Pine Log Cemetery, with Reverend Larry Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
