Lucile A. Stroud

December 25, 1918 — December 22, 2010

Lucile A. Stroud, formerly of Jonesboro, died Wednesday at Southridge Nursing & Rehab in Heber Springs. She was born in Jonesboro to Huley & Elizabeth Smith Adams, she had lived in the Jonesboro area most of her life. She was a member of several clubs along with her husband, the Garden Club, and loved china painting. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andy & Suzette Stroud, Jonesboro; granddaughter, Nikole Swize; great grandchildren, Thomas Swize and Lucas Swize; sister-in-law, Mrs. Paul T. Stroud; niece Jan Nguyer; and nephew, Richard Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.A. Stroud, Jr.; and a brother, Richard Adams.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Patty Soward officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
