Lu-Ann Johnson, 81, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1986. Lu was of the Christian belief. She enjoyed nursing, gardening and her church work. She was the Sunday School Superintendent at Liberty Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Taft (Vickie) of Fairmont W. Virginia; Michael Taft (Linda) of Beaver Creek W. Virginia; Matthew Pommell (Kayla) of Jonesboro; and Joshua Pommell (Donna) of Brighton, Tennessee; daughters, Kim Pommell (Joe) of Jonesboro; and Hope Wittenbrink (Jim) of Steelville, Illinois; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, with Roma Adams officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
