Louise Wadsworth Hall

Bono, Arkansas

Mrs. Hall, formerly of Hernando, MS, was born July 23, 1922, and passed quietly from this life at home in Bono on March 12, 2009, to join her beloved brothers, sisters, and friends in heaven. She attained an Associate’s Degree in Business at Lambuth College in Jackson, TN, and worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for 50+ years until her retirement at age 75. She was much loved by all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren. She devoted herself to the service of others and to her church, the Hernando United Methodist Church. She generously used her creative abilities to knit beautiful dresses, coats, ensembles, baby blankets, and afghans for others. Her hands were always busy. She tirelessly served the Lord through her church activities and always offered a helping hand where she saw need.

She found great strength through her relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ, to bear, without complaint, life’s problems and the burden of her final illness. She constantly demonstrated a kind and gentle spirit, like her mother before her. An unkind word was never known to pass her lips. A beautiful smile greeted all. A more selfless, loving person could not be found.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. L.R. and Eddie Mai Bibb Wadsworth, her sisters Virginia Whitley, Dorothy Lee, and Nina Crawley, her brothers L.R. Wadsworth, Jr., and Dr. H.M. Wadsworth, Sr., a niece Ginny Lee and nephew John Beverly Whitley. She leaves a part of herself in her children Alice Louise Hayes of Bono, son Robert Wilson Wadsworth and wife Gayle of Batesville, MS, her grandchildren William Hayes and Dr. Walter Hayes and wife Bridget of Jonesboro, AR, Whitney Hayes and life partner Stefani Kovacovsky of Portland, OR, Weslynn Hayes of Bono who was her caregiver for five of her final years and who was her constant companion, Sheri Wood and husband Keith of Millington, TN and Glenn Wadsworth and wife Amanda of Baltimore MD, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She also leaves her beloved nephew Dr. Michael Crawley who lovingly ministered to her for the past ten years, as well as through her final illness. She leaves her sister-in-law Ruth Wadsworth of Hernando, MS, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate her life and faith will be held Sunday March 15th with Dr. Gene Crawley officiating at Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 E. Nettleton, Jonesboro, AR, at 2:30 p.m. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Hernando United Methodist Church, Hernando, MS.
