Major Louie E. Dunn, 95, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at his home. He was born in Athens, Texas on February 15, 1921 to the late Willie and May Hood Dunn. He had lived in Jonesboro since July 1981 and was a retired WWII Air Force veteran where he had worked as a supply officer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Helen Dunn. He served as a Sunday school teacher and Scout Master of Troop 6, Boy Scouts for several years.
He was one of the founding members of the Bologna Gravy father & son hunting club.

Survivors include his son, Ron Dunn (Sharon) of Jonesboro.
Daughters, Sandria Masterson (Gary) of Weatherford, Texas and Rosalee Ann Hix of Dripping Springs, Texas.

Sister, Irene Arbuckle of Garland, Texas.

9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 18, 2017 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Alan Scott, Mike Cobb, Mike Ebbert, Bobby Flannigan, Drake Sloan and Richard Hoskins.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be made to the Central Baptist Church Mission Fund, 3707 Harrisburg Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72404.
