Lottie Zell Locke

Lottie Zell Locke, 82, of Jonesboro, died Monday morning at Craighead County Nursing Center. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1985 moving here from Marianna. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was happy being a stay at home mom. Mrs. Locke loved to cook, was kind hearted, and had open arms to anyone in need. She was of the Baptist belief.

She is survived by her son, William Locke, of El Dorado; four daughters; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Locke; a son, Robert Locke; her parents, James & Willie Mae Parks Williams; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Curtis Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrim Cemetery in Marianna at 2:15 p.m. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Eric Sanders, Stanley Locke, James Williams, Emanuel Locke, Jimmie Harper, and Kenneth Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Sanders, Lee Haywood, and Alvino Cheatum.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
