Lorraine Churchill

March 11, 1929 — December 9, 2020

Marjorie “Lorraine” Churchill, 91, of Jonesboro left her earthly body and entered Heaven on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro.  She was born on March 11, 1929, in Novelty, Missouri, to the late Truman and Faye Wylie Cockrum.  Lorraine was a longtime member of Calvary Chapel Church in Jonesboro.  She loved Jesus Christ, her Savior and Lord, and her favorite Bible verse came from Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Lorraine loved cooking, especially family dinners, and was very family-oriented. Taking her children to church was important to her.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents.

Lorraine is survived by her 3 sons, Gary Churchill of Jonesboro, Larry Churchill (Suzanne) of Jonesboro, and Tony Churchill of Richmond, Virginia; daughter, Kathy Farley of Jonesboro; sister, Willa Baxter of Buffalo, Missouri; and 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Bayou Meto Cemetery near Dewitt, Arkansas.
