Lorna Fanning Rickert

Lorna Fanning Rickert, 77, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home. She was born June 8, 1934 to Harry and Ruth Marth in Woodburn, Illinois and had lived in Jonesboro for the past 26 years, moving here from Streator, Illinois. She was a member of the Jonesboro Christian Church and was the organist. Lorna was an excellent bowler and enjoyed Scrabble, playing cards, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mel Fanning, in 2006; and her parents.

Survivors include her husband of four years, Ray Rickert, of the home; sons, Tim Fanning of Jonesboro; Todd Fanning and wife Rachel of Spring Valley, Illinois; one brother Wilbur Marth and wife Helen of Bunker Hill, Illinois; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at10:00 AM, Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Jonesboro Christian Church with Steve Shepherd officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Brett Fanning, Gregg Fanning, Matt Fanning, Kyle Kowalski, Jim Reed, and E J Cunningham will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7 Wednesday night at the Jonesboro Christian Church.
