Lorine Carr

Lorine Carr, 78, of Lake City died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Lake Side Nursing Center. She was born to James and Dovie Hardin and was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, wife and mother. She married Willard Carr in 1984 and had the pleasure of being the mother to his children and cared for them as if they were her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Carr; sons, Timmy Carr and Bubba Carr; parents, James and Dovie Hardin; sisters, Christine McDaniel, Earlene Parker; brothers, James (Jr.) Hardin, Eugene James Hardin, and Jesse Hardin; great-great niece, Tia Liann Hagen; her niece Mary Basinger; nephews, Herman McDaniel Jr., Ernest Ray McDaniel and Teddy Dole Hardin.

Survivors include brothers, Jerry Hardin and Billy Joe Hardin of Texas; brother-in-law, Herman McDaniel; Willard’s children, Pat, Mildred, Billy, and Sharon; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Lorine had the sweetest and kindest heart in the world and believe in praying for everyone. Her grandchildren and nieces and nephews called her Nanny.

Funeral services will be 3:00 Monday at the Lake City Church of God with Reverend Carl Edge officiating and Emerson Funeral Home will be in charge. Visitation will be from 2:00 until service time and burial will be private.
