Loretta Henson-Hendrix

Loretta Henson – Hendrix 71, of Gladstone, Missouri passed from this life February 19, 2016 at her home. She was born June 25, 1944 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late Ray and Wilma Haney-Henson where she would spend the majority of her life. Loretta also spent some time in Bono and Platte City, Missouri before spending the last few years residing in Gladstone, Missouri. She was also of the Baptist belief.


Loretta was a successful business owner/operator of the 1st spa in Jonesboro which was “The Fountain of Youth”. She enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by three brothers: Donnie Henson, Stanley Henson, and Johnny Henson; two sisters: Trudy Handford and Dena Nichols.


Loretta is survived by her two daughters: Bridgett Oldman of West Memphis, Arkansas and Larra Hendrix of Gladstone, Missouri; one brother: Michael Henson of Jonesboro; one sister: Diane Roleson of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren: Daniel Driskill of Kansas City, Missouri, Jody Dement of Bono, Vikki Bennett of Fort Smith, Matthew Hendrix of Kansas City, Missouri, John Poole of Walnut Ridge, Joseph Hendrix of Kansas City, Missouri, and Cody Tazelaar of Benton; and eight great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.


A memorial service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 28, 2016 a Emerson Memorial Chapel with Danny Jackson officiating.


Burial will be private.
