Lorene Wood Murphy

Lorene Wood Murphy, 92, of Jonesboro died Monday, September 28, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived in Jonesboro for 15 years, moving here from Caraway. Lorene was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Caraway. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Wood and Bruce Murphy; one son, Ed Wood and grandson Tommy Christmas.

Survivors include her son, Harold Wood (Juna) of Jennison Michigan; daughters, Neva Brickell of Jonesboro; Mary Ann Christmas (Ernie) of Paragould; step-children, Norma Emison, Wanda Wonigar and Keith (Caroline Murphy; daughter-in-law, Linda Wood of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; grandchildren, Skip Brickell and Kelly Mead; five great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the Community of Christ Church in Caraway with Wayne Heidelberg and Martin Passmore officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at the Caraway Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
