Lorene W. Lamkin

Lorene W. Lamkin, 83, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She had lived all of her life in Craighead County and was a member of the Refuge Baptist Church. Lorene retired from Hytrol Conveyor Company and enjoyed making crafts for Hope Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, several brothers and sisters and one grandchild.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Harrell of Jonesboro, Brother, Donald Woodard of Bakersfield, California and grandson, Nathan Harrell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jamie Carter officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Nathan Harrell, Forrest Grisham, Michael Lamkin, Tony Lamkin, Danny McFarland and Matt Mink serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Gilley, Jim Lamkin, Tom McKay, Doug McFarland and Rodney Lamkin. Visitation will be from 6-8 Saturday night at Emerson Funeral Home.

The family has requested no flowers be placed in the chapel and lasting memorials be sent to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
