Lorene Harris

Lorene “Granny” Harris, 91 of Jonesboro died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Lake City and lived her life in the Jonesboro area. She was a member of the Walcott Baptist Church, the Baptist WMU and a Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carroll “Crow” Harris; sons, Theodor Harris, Jessie Harris, and Bruce Harris; Daughter Nora Beshiers, two sisters, one brother, two grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is survived by her sons, George Harris; and Bill Harris, both of Donner Springs, Kansas; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M., Friday, May 25, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Soward and Rev. Patty Soward officiating with burial to follow in Upper Cain Island Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Thursday night at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
