Lona Masterson Davis, 95, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, January 4
th,
2018 at Craighead Nursing Center. She was born September 30
th
, 1922 to the late Harrison and Irena Ball in Conway County.
Lona has lived in Jonesboro most of her life and was of Baptist faith. She loved to garden and especially loved fishing. Lona was described as a devoted and wonderful mother who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Lona is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Davis; Son, Floyd Masterson; Brothers Harold Ball and Darrell Ball; sisters, Daisy Hamilton, Edith Smith, Ruby Smith, and Earl Halsell.
Lona is survived by her sons, Wayne (Diane) Masterson of Jonesboro, and Stephen (Margie) Masterson of Heber Springs; Brothers, Norman Ball of Potlatch, Washington and Jerry Walton of Exeter, California; as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their thankfulness and appreciation for the staff at Craighead Nursing Center and how they cared for Lona during her time there.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 11 am Monday, January 8, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Stan Ballard Officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with pallbearers being Wayne Masterson, Steve Masterson, Don Hamilton, Bill Smith, Larry Clark and David Dudley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jerry West, Larry Burcham, Greg Masterson, Brent Masterson and Troy Mabie.
