Loma L. Garner, 83, of Jonesboro died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Craighead Nursing Center.
She was born on November 7, 1930 in Jonesboro to the late Bert and Tessie Warfield Gregson. She is a retired school teacher from the Hot Springs School System, and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Butch, Leon, and Lloyd Gregson; one sister, Ludean Harrison.
She is survived by her daughter, Sunny Sprow and her significant other Jerry Dover of Pope, MS; one son, Gregg Garner and his wife Lisa of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Helen Dorris of Jonesboro and Frances Dawson of Bono; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10am in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Doug Welborn officiating. Burial will directly follow at Macedonia cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Honored to serve as pallbearer is Jerry Dover.
