Lois Jean Leftwich Travis

Lois Jean Leftwich Travis, 85, died on March 17, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born in Memphis, TN, to Charles Leftwich and Polly Beall Leftwich. Lois was raised in Wilson, AR, until she married and began a family in Osceola, AR, before moving to Jonesboro, where she spent the next 62 years making life-long friends.

Lois faced death the way she lived her whole life ... with honesty, wit, and determination. She was not afraid. She knew where she was going.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bo) Travis and her granddaughter, Samantha Jo Grabowski Cooper.

She is survived by her children: Cathy Travis (WDC) and M’Lisa Travis Grabowski/Joe (Mt. Home); grandson, Rob Grabowski/Emma (Lincoln); and great-grandchildren AIlison Kaye Deaton, Barrett, River and Ridge Grabowski; and her sister, Gail Leftwich Bomer/Dan (West Memphis).

She is also survived by her niece, Ashley B. Krug/Brian (Batesville), great-nephew Tyler Bosnick/Rachel (and their daughters Emmie Jo and Saylor), and great-niece Shelby Bosnick Taylor/Heath.

A memorial service will be Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ross Burton and Arliss Dickerson officiating. Burial will be announced at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either St. Jude in Memphis, TN; or the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR, and note the gift is in memory of Lois Travis.
