Lois Lavern Lairson

October 20, 1935 — January 17, 2014

Lois “Lavern” Lairson, 78, of Trumann passed from this life and went to be with her Heavenly Father January 17, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Trumann to the late Augusta and Gladys Murphy on October 20, 1935. Lois lived in Trumann her whole life and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was very active in the church, loved Cardinal Baseball, Dollywood, and most of all loved her grandchildren.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Emmitt and Lester Murphy, and two sisters: Wanda Murphy and Helen Ainsworth.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, Arnold “Leroy” Lairson; three sons: Roy Lairson (Jerita) of Midland, Texas, Troy Lairson and Kevin Lairson of Trumann; One daughter: Debbie Lairson of Jonesboro. Two brothers: C.M. Murphy and Jerry Murphy (Bea) of Trumann; One sister: Mary Edith Sims (Perry) of Truman; Grandchildren: Sherry Lynn Doyle, Tracy Halfacre, Stacy Lairson, and Lauren Lairson. Great grandchildren: Beth Taylor, Hannah Miller, Christian Miller, Gavyn Goforth, and Bennett Halfacre. Great, great grandchildren: Haley Taylor and AJ Taylor.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Trumann with Bro. Larry Tribble officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow at Herman Cemetery in Jonesboro with active Pallbearers being: Joseph Halfacre, Carbert Rodgers, Jerry Rodgers, Danny Simmons, Randy Murphy, and Shawn Doyle. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Tackett, Levi Tackett, and Ricky Dillinger.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Trumann from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
