Loeida Lane Hendrix, 94, daughter of Frank and Nora Lane, passed away March 26, 2009 at her home. She was a life long resident of Bono and Jonesboro. Loeida was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church and will be remembered for her many kindnesses and charitable activities.
Honey or Aunt T, as she was known, was preceded in death by her loving husband Alfred L. Hendrix, her son, Alfred L. Hendrix Jr., and her grandchildren Darrell Coble Jr. and Elizabeth Long as well as nine brothers and sisters.
Loeida is survived by her daughters Ouida Hendrix, LaVeda Brown and husband Leon; Kristy Kent and Alleda Long; her grandchildren, Keeley Brown, Krislane Woodard, and husband David; Leon Brown Jr., and wife, Claire; Patty Lampman, and husband, Scott; DeLane Long and Dean Long Jr.; her great grandchildren, Kassandra, Logan, Justin, Olivia, Sara Kate, Audrey Lane, Maria, Christopher, Alexander, Dean, Rachel, Mary, Mallory, and Georgia.
Honey was cherished by her family and many relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2009 until service time at Emerson Memorial Chapel with the service starting at 2:00 P.M., with Patty Soward officiating and burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Leon Brown, Leon Brown Jr., Wilson Alby Lane, Bill Lane, Jimmy Lane, and Steve Williams.
