Lisa Lynn Felks Whitehead, 56, of rural Caraway, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Libertyville, Illinois, Lisa lived the first few years of her life in Illinois before moving with her family to Lepanto where she was a 1984 graduate of Lepanto High School. She worked at St. Bernards Medical Center serving in Pastoral Care. Lisa is a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, crafting and watching murder mysteries on television.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Eddie Whitehead of the home;
her parents, Ed and Sue Felks of Lepanto;
two children, David Whitehead of Caraway, and Megan Steed and her husband Tim of Hilliard, Florida;
two brothers and their wives: Dewayne and Jennette Felks of Springfield, Missouri, and Tim and Suzanne Felks of Overland Park, Kansas; and
five grandchildren, Mary Fry, Ana Fry, Jaxson Fry, Uriah Fry and Silas Fry.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1107 E. Highland Dr., Jonesboro, AR, with Monsignor Scott Friend officiating. Burial will follow in Caraway Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Jeff Fry, Gary Davis, Ricky Austin, Ryan Austin, Patrick Felks, and Stephen Felks. Honorary pallbearers will Casey Whitehead and Larry Davis.
A rosary service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Blessed Sacrament Church. Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m.in the church.
For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to St. Bernards Medical Center Pediatric Unit, 400 East St., Jonesboro, AR 72401.
