Lisa Irene Simpson, 52, of Trumann, Arkansas, departed this life on April 24, 2026, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 11, 1973, in Jonesboro to Harold and Martha Adams.
Lisa was a Christian who lived her life centered around love, family, and simple joys. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was swimming or fishing, and she never turned down a good time playing dice or games like 10,000. Trips to the casino, a good cup of coffee, and the companionship of her beloved cats brought her happiness. Lisa had a gift for making others feel welcome, she never met a stranger, and her home was always open to those she loved. She was the backbone of her family, known for her caring heart, her love of cooking for others, and her deep devotion taking care of her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Martha Adams.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Mike Simpson; her sons, Timmy (Brittney) Simpson, Carl “BooBoo” Simpson, Harold (Candy) Simpson, and Christopher Mabe; her daughters, Ashley (James) Adams, Wendy (Marcus) Adams, Abby Adams, Christina Mabe, Kristan Mabe, and Emma “Taterbug” Mabe; her brother, Junior (Christie) Adams; and her sisters, Dana Webster, Christal Adams, and Sabra (Stacey) Adams. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Gene Bogard officiating. Burial will be at Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Wortham, James Duncan, Dillan Adams, Derrik Adams, Jarred Adams, Justin Dunivan, Larry Floyd Jr., and Hunter Wagner. Honorary pallbearers are Landyn Adams, Oakley Adams, Timmy Simpson Jr., M.J. Wortham, Kion Wortham, and Aylor Clark.
