Lisa Diane Newberry

Lisa Diane Newberry, 58, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on September 15, 2023 at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Lisa was born in Beedeville, AR on May 24, 1965 to the late Virginia and Turner Oneil. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 aunts, 3 uncles, 1 niece, and 2 grandchildren.

Lisa grew up in Arkansas but moved around several times. She eventually landed in Hooker, OK. In 2001, she moved her family back to Jonesboro where they have resided ever since. Lisa loved eating with friends and family, attending Bingo nights, and working on art projects. She enjoyed going on trips with her family, especially to North Carolina. As a treat to herself, Lisa would go to her favorite place, the casino. Most importantly, Lisa loved spending time with family and grandchildren.

Lisa is survived by her daughters, Jessica McCray (Andre) of Jonesboro, Katrina Claxton (Brandon) of Brookland, and Nikki Noll of Jonesboro; sister Paula Stupp of Oklahoma; bonus sisters Brenda Hall (Phil), Vickie Murray, and Ginger Spence (Mike) all of Newport; grandchildren Audrey, Arianna, Jazlynn, Elissa, and Polar; and host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday September 23, 2023 at Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Newport, AR. Burial will be private.
