Lisa Starr Kennedy

October 8, 1959 — March 20, 2019

Lisa Starr Kennedy, 59, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.  She had lived in Jonesboro since 1967.  Lisa was of the Baptist belief.  Her love was her family including her husband, sisters and their spouses, her husband’s siblings and their spouses and the nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  It has been said that Lisa was the best friend anybody could ask for. She lived riding horses and reading.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rhea and Chris Starr and one niece Ashley Bailey.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Tom, of the home; sisters, Sharon Palmer (Mack); Kaye Ferguson (Randy) of Jonesboro; Bren Watkins (Steve) of Bono; Karen Eakins (Tommy) of Lake City; her mother in law, Louise Kennedy of Paragould; brothers in law, Robert Kennedy and Donnie Kennedy; sisters in law, Evelyn Duffel, Brenda Kennedy, Teresa Presson, Debra Morlen, Donna Kennedy, Micah Kennedy and Dewayne Kennedy; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews,  Kristi Hanes, Hollie Barnes, Tiffany Tull Chase Hanes, Caroline Hanes, Isabella and Abby, T. K. Eakins, Callen Eakins, Daniel Eakins, Ryley Parker and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Wade Stark officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will be at 2:00 in Hope Cemetery at Imboden with T. J. Eakins, Daniel Eakins, Tom Eakins, Randy Ferguson, Mack Palmer, Rodney Haynes, Steve Watkins, Bill Yeager, Donnie Kennedy, and Tyler Moreland serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Corey Grady, Shane Grady, Tonya McNeese, Jennifer Reed, Tyler Morlen, Ashlon McNeese and Hunter Lyles.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time.
