Lionel Scott Roberts

Lionel Scott Roberts, 52, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at his home of natural causes.

Born in Munich, Germany, Scott lived with his parents at various Army bases while his father pursued a military career. Scott has lived in Jonesboro since he was 17. He attended Trinity Church in Jonesboro for several years and was preceded in death by his sister, Rayetta Roberts Elrod.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Evone Harrelson Roberts of the home;

1 son, Eric Scott Roberts of Jonesboro;

His father, Birchard R. Roberts of Jonesboro;

His mother, Mary J. White Pustrom of Belmont, North Carolina;

1 brother, Tracy Roberts and 1 sister, Holly Williams, both of Belmont.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in The Freedom Center, 1717 Hasbrook Rd, Jonesboro. Burial will be private.
