Ruby Linnell Honeycutt, 75, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at her home of natural causes.
Born in the Paul Switch community north of Bono, Linnell lived much of her life in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She enjoyed making beautiful cakes and flower arrangements and was an avid doll collector.
Linnell was a passionate member of the Humane Society and PETA and enjoyed working on her yard beautification projects. In her earlier years, she was active in horse show competition.
Linnell was preceded in death by a son, Lindall Wylan Honeycutt and by a brother, Billy Gene Lakey.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Pamela B. Honeycutt, and a son, Stan Honeycutt, both of Jonesboro; 1 sister, Laverne Foster of Jonesboro, and 2 grandchildren: Missty Dawn Honeycutt and Benjamin S. Honeycutt.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jim Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Wyatt Carey, Denny Wade, Whitney Williams, Mark Osborn, Joel Grimes and Jerry Grimes.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
