Linda Joyce Staggs

Linda Joyce Staggs, 61, of Jonesboro, died Monday afternoon at her home. She lived much of her life in Lake City, moving to Jonesboro 9 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lake City.

Mrs. Staggs was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Nellie Merritt Stone, a brother, James Stone, and a sister Barbara Nell Stone.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Staggs of the home. Also surviving are her son, Billy Staggs, Jonesboro, daughters, Vickie Stone, Trumann, and Kathrine Staggs, Jonesboro. She is survived by many brothers and sisters; Clarence Stone, Trumann, Larry Stone, Manila, Carl Stone, Memphis, Tommy Stone, Tony Stone, Jerry Stone, John Stone, all of Leachville, Naomi Brewer, Jonesboro, Gladys Snow, Monette, Wava Jones, Calico Rock, and Brenda Barger, Leachville. She is survived as well by 2 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at the Leachville Cemetery with Bro. Steve Crawford officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be William Morgan, Tim Stone, Gary Sanders, David Hotchkiss, Gregg Skull, and Bob Morris.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
