Linda Sue Nelson

Linda Sue Nelson, 69, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, September 16, 2019 at her home with family by her side. She was born here in Jonesboro to the late L.B. and Patricia Russell on August 8, 1950. Linda resided in Jonesboro most of her life and was a member of the Alsup Baptist Church. She loved collecting cook books and fishing. Linda also enjoyed flowers and gardening.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie Russell and Gary Joe Russell; sister, Carol Wessell.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Louis Nelson of the home; one son, Randy (Jeri) Nelson of Jonesboro; three brothers, Austin Russell of Jonesboro, Wallace Russell of Jonesboro, and Kenny (Mikki) Russell of Hot Springs; sister, Peggy (Bob) Sartain of Brookland; three grandchildren, Courtney (Seth) Speer, Montana Nelson, and Colton Nelson.

A visitation will be from 5 -7 pm Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 10 am Friday, September 20, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with Nick Raney officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Johnny Russell, Rusty Fontenot, Terry Vinson, Larry Vinson, Jim Thomas, and Colton Nelson.
