Linda Kaye Fields

April 27, 1947 — September 18, 2008

Linda Kaye Fields, 61, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Newport, Linda lived most of her life in the Newport-Swifton area before moving to Jonesboro in 1997. She was the office manager and co-owner of Fields Heating and Air in Newport and a member of the Valley View Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Business and Professional Women. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ira and Lois Harbison Ferrell, and by a brother: Jerry Ferrell.

Survivors include: Her Husband: Talmadge Fields of the home;

1 Daughter and son-in-law: Kelly Kaye and Barry Phillips of Jonesboro;

1 Son and daughter-in-law: Todd and Ami Norris of Newport;

1 Brother: Ricky Ferrell of Jonesboro; and

5 Grandchildren: Cody Phillips, Chad Phillips, Justin Phillips, Abby Phillips and Ethan Norris..

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in Valley View Church of Christ with David Gibson and Ted Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Haynes Cemetery near Swifton with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers include: Lloyd Campbell, Jim Sanders, Gail Holder, Bob Nichols, Jr. McDaniel, and Randy Nelms.

Honorary pallbearers include: Harold Ferguson, Randy Simpkins, Mickey McDaniel, Danny Wallis, Terry Smith, and Max Merrill.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to Paragould Children’s Home, 505 Old Walcott Rd., Paragould, AR 72450.
